I don't think Somaliland has failed me bro. For example I could take a vacation and it's safer than a lot of places in the U.S on the other hand if I go to Gedo or Xamar I could either expect to be killed by Kenyan or Al-shabab. Governments in Africa in general do not provide services to their people.

Jubbaland in general is also pretty safe but clan enclaves have definitely failed us there is simply way too much corruption and nepotism for any clan state to ever move forward. The problem is the actual federal government is the exact same with just different clans so whats next now

You can't expect anything better when people are chosen based on Qabiil rather than merit. The goal should be to drain the swamp and replace these old goons with this generations brightest minds. Somalis in particular are not result driven but will support any politician who hails from their qabiil.

They started with there own clan then incorporated more people under the presidency normalizing a share of power with more clans in the eyes of commoners. Its too the extant its more likely SL will have a Dhulbahante president before Puntland ever will.

The future is bright but not really considering they will never let you get recognition.

don't be that negative, some regions are going through change right now. both northern regions are moving forward funding their own projects mostly.

don't lump the north in to the issue's of the south. what can we say? we tried to reinstall an goverment to revive the nation. however it is very hard to get the past 3 decades of anarchy out of them.
