it is bothering me that I see Muslims use this word. I'm not saying it's haraam, I don't have any fatwa or any proof that it's haraam.
but myself personally I associate this word with pimps and with immoral type men. to me this is pimp language.

I don't want to talk like Too Short and I don't think you should talk like that either. I'm not saying it's haraam or claiming anything like that but I'm just putting it out there for people to think about. this is something I think comes from urban pimp type culture. I don't think this is something that should be adopted, even if it's just language.
also- I am objecting to the term but I'm not talking about how you should or shouldn't act with a woman. also I'm not really talking about whether or not you should have "urban culture" or about any race or ethnicity but I am just talking about Muslims in general... like DH for example... using this "simp" term. why should Muslims be using a term that goes back to people like Too Short and pimp culture?
sometimes a guy maybe goes too far to please a woman. like what if he converts to Christianity for her. or allows inappropriate behavior like for his wife to dress immodestly in public. there's other ways this could be described, there isn't any need for the "simp" term.
