It’s so pretty. I showed it to my mum and apparently it’s really really old, like from around my grandparents time, so no one wears it anymore. I still want to wear it tho cus it looks good, does anyone know where I can get it from or what it’s called? The lower dress looks like it could be a part of sadex qayd, not sure about the upper dress

Lower Dress = Googorad (wrapped many times in a pleated-like style)
Sandles = just typical Somali women's kabo
Jewellery = cuffs and armlets, hirsi necklace, choker, earings

This is pretty much the outfit but with a garbasaar (shoulder scarf)

Its cool how we have so many variations within our culture for example my family did not wear guntiino or amulets at all. We have an heirloom of a small silver necklace but we all wore white sheets and covered our hair with an amber gabsaar
