I wish I could just witness Somalis in the 1960s.

I just wish I could see how we were. Like i wanna know what real Somali people are like.

Modern Somalis are basically Saudi-wannabe bollywood watching people now.

I just wish i could see what an organic pre-civil war Somali is like...Somalis being their natural authentic selves. Witnessing our dhaqan.

You do the reason Somalis are “Saudi wannabes” is because of decisions made by the people in power in the 60s and 70s.

Somalia accepted a lot of aid from KSA in exchange for allowing their sheikhs to come.

The largest mosque in Somalia was built by the Saudis.

If I were to time travel to the past I'd go to Boondhere 1970s/80s. I want to see if my hooyo was lying about muqdisho being heaven during these times. My beautiful xamar cadey inhabited by real Somalis and not reer baadiyo new comers.

1960s somalia had just come out of colonialism.

There was not organic Somali culture at the time, just Italian hybrid culture.

We where like Djibouti.

There wasn't even a writtern Somali language.
