I live in Canada and I don't wear hijab but I do dress modestly. I wear a little bit of makeup but I let my hair out. I don't think I will ever wear a scarf. I believe that Islam lets us dress modestly, I don't think Allah cares if I show my hair or not, I think he cares more about someone's character and their actions. for instance, because I don't wear hijab but still dress modestly do you think Allah will send me to hell alongside people like Hitler even though my prayer and my Islam are in good standing? what do you think..

Your entitled to your own opinion. The hijab is fardh though, so no matter how you feel about it, the Islamic stance is clear and unchanged. There are reasons for which you can choose to delve into

The Qur'an instructs Muslim women to wear headscarfs aka Hijab and to dress modestly. You can't pick and choose sis, you need to adhere to the teachings of the religion. You can't take some sections of the religion and throw away the rest.

my grandma doesn't wear one.
a lot of my aunts, cousins and family friends don't.


personally, i just don't think it's a major sin.
and it's never been forced upon me.

We can’t just say “I don’t think Allah cares”. It’s in the Quran and there are hadiths that tell women to cover their awrah (hair is included). So clearly it’s important. You can try to read more about it and make duaa that Allah swt makes it easy for you.
If you never want to wear it that’s of course your personal choice. But it’s Fardh and we follow Allah’s commands.

I understand where you’re coming from. I don’t wear hijab either but I don’t think you can justify that and say Allah doesn’t care. That’s a bold statement. Can’t be too certain about that. If we have to wear hijab during salah I’m thinking it has to be compulsory. I know it’s not easy to wear hijab, believe me I know but we have to be realistic
