I wonder if the lion recognizes the cat as a mini version of him? And maybe that’s why he doesn’t mind sharing his leftovers lolIt was the strangest sight I've seen I have been to a zoo and I have seen lions before but I wasn't expecting this
A cat is chilling in the cage with the lions eating their leftovers
he there in the bottom corner

I was wondering the same cause the cat never interacted with the lions it just sat in a corner while the lions walked around in circles they looked like cell buddies only difference was the cat went into the cage on its own and walked through a small hole when it felt like itI wonder if the lion recognizes the cat as a mini version of him? Lol, wallahi you can totally see them communicating. They know! It’s like the cat said “hey buddy, mind sharing” and the lion is like “get outta here kid!”I was wondering the same cause the cat never interacted with the lions it just sat in a corner while the lions walked around in circles they looked like cell buddies only difference was the cat went into the cage on its own and walked through a small hole when it felt like it

Do we even have an ecosystem for them to chill at? Somali lands are mostly semi-arid hot deserts. The lions might even tahrib to Kenya or Ethiopia. This is damn sad and funny at the same time!
Someone gotta fight for these lions to be released back to the wild. Apex predators play a crucial role in our ecosystem.
What kind of zoo is that ? some half hearted effort typical somali effort, no space for the animals and dirty.
Zoos should not exist
there used to be a ostrich in this zoo but the lion ate itWhat kind of zoo is that ? some half hearted effort typical somali effort, no space for the animals and dirty.

The other variable is the potential ample food source in those areas, prey they can feed upon. I've heard the fauna populations have decreased since the civil war hit (not based on any formal evidence).Oh yh, we do have.
I hear there is a flourishing wildlife in lower Juba which is mostly lush and green.
But also, if you look at the climate of places lions mostly reside, it is composed of lots of grass with scattered trees (Savanna). Somalia has places that look like this picture where lions, antelopes and many other species are found.
