I want to fix Somalia

As insane as it sounds I really do

I'm 18 at the time of writing this and ever since I was a child I was told multiple stories of Somalia's greatness as a kid but to now see the country the way it is and how there are even plans of Kenya annexing South Somalia, and the condition of the country is just completely awful . The current president doesn't even care about the people and I wholeheartedly believe he is working with the Al shabaab behind the scenes to make more money it's disgraceful that he even holds the title as the president and under his leadership the country will forever remain a pawn in the geopolitical game amongst world powers

The next election IIRC is in 2027 when I am 22 years old from now until then I will build enough wealth to the point where that I can become an eligible candidate

I posted my reasons as to why I wanted to fix Somalia and it's conditions on reddit but I got very pessimistic comments and ppl tell me to give up on it but I will not.

The biggest and toughest issue for me will be building the money to be able to be a candidate with a standing chance so I would need to make 15-17 million USD from nothing the span of 4 years. I'm not sure how I will do it but the violent urge to fix the nation and make it fulfil it's endless potential is too much for me that I don't care about how I won't make it I will find a way and when I do the rest will be history.

To you maybe but there are countless nations throughout time who have return from far far worse conditions

Somalis are too fatalistic compared to other ethnicities. Instead of looking to other countries for inspiration, they’re quick to give up. It’s a marker of their short sighted individualistic thinking. No wonder nothing is getting done when they’re so quick to swallowing the doompill. Other groups have more people willing to fight until the very end.

I swear almost every Somali lad has this overzealous phase about Somalia till realising Somalia is hopeless later on

I understand your deep frustration about the situations within the country of somalia. However if you want to gain political power you cant go the stereotypical route as you would need qabil ties which is something you disagree with I hope.

Here are two methods to enacting change.
Ground up method
Start by helping your local community with funds and expertise to better your community. Once you have shown proof of your aptitude and you have a sizeable following try and get a mayor role or MP role. From their its just climbing the ladder. Also you want to give jobs to anti-qabil loyalists when you gain administrative authority. Eventually when you pack the system with enough anti-qabilst/loyalist things will bend towards your liking.

Propagandist Method.
you would want to create a social media presence within the country and radicalise as much people with your anti qabil/pro somali message that the people revolt for a better life

Kkkk If I ever become career politician in Somalia I won't be spending my xalal earned money on campiganing and shieet. Start from the bottom up, work as a local administrator in your parents hometown or the closest city your qabil resides. Campigan to join your city council and make huge strides during your time. Gain the trust of the populace through community building and fostering realtionships especially with teens who will become your voting base later on.

City Council - City Mayor

This is where your going to take your first big leap, from the local to Federal level, there are two routes for you.

- Federal State MP

During this phase you are establishing a network of supporters and allies within your FMS, use this to become a strong player in regional politics and if need be to strong arm other regional politicians. Somali politics is brutal, it is destroy or be destroyed. Ideally you will preserve your ideals to the end. Realistically to survive you just be willing to conform to any shape that will benefit you. One day you wear the clothes of a wadani and the next day qabyaalaad. You understand there are sharks above you and persistent fish below you. This is the stage that culls the weak from the strong. If you see someone who is in elected office like President of FMS or Directlr of NISA they have def done questionable things or were just ruthless during their rise to power. Whether theought deception and closed door powerplays or armed revolt.

Alternatively you jump straight to FMS president or Minister of Foreign Affairs/Minister of Finance/Minister of Defense etc etc.

At this stage you will enter into large scale alliances with conglomerates and businessmen who will back you, you will be a household name so you will be scrutinized at all times. At this point your main job is to successfully execute your role within the federal government and keep your opponents far away from your seat. With regards to FMS presidents, at any second can a crisis emerge, you could be asleep in the middle of the night and find out a millita has mobilized to strong-arm you into accepting their deal, or it's a full blown regional Civil War. Just as in the case of Hiiraan and Gedo entire regions can secede from the recognized mamuul for their own reason which is a blow to your credebility and rule.

- Top Dog

President, after a long and hard fought campighan you are top of the world occupying the highest office of this land, yet...if you can't juggle regional, local, national politics at the same time someone somewhere in large masses will be mad at you. If we follow our current direction Somalia will centralize with more power within Villa Somalia than day Baidoa or Garowe but that isn't to say the FMS won't be a pain in your ass because they always will, focus on installing friendly or subordinate governors in these regions to maintain control over them. I'd add more but I'm tired I'll update it later.

Rise to power in Somalia by @Somaliand good luck @Idrus I have no idea how ur gonna wrestle away power from IOG dynasty in Djibouti. Best of luck kkk

I will do anything and everything to get to the top of only then can REAL change be made. If I have to I will ally with the devil, Somalia is a cut throat place and an idealist won't survive, to survive you have to be ready to sacrifice everything including your life to achieve your goals.

14- 27 million dollars are peanuts for the presidential race. And by the time you’re 22 the stakes are higher which means more money. Secondly it’s a good sign that you’re overzealous of your country and have a good intention but you’re still young tryna find your identity which is great and exactly what you should be doing. But in a couple of years you will realise that our country is doomed by the near foreseeable future. I’m not a pessimist btw
