I have to disagree as someone who’s been in Turkey. The majority of urban youth are quite similar to that. You would be surprised at how irreligious the country is.

It’s a rural vs urban thing and eventually the urban centres infect the rural as they dominate the media and culture of the country.

Regardless my point is even if the majority is conservative, the trend is to being less conservative.

Usually in the past more liberal societies suffered from societal decay, ‘enlightened woman’ not reproducing and working leading to older populations and stagnant economy but the US is unique. It imports enough people from illiberal societies which sustains them till that set of immigrants become liberalised and again replaced by another import of conservative societies.

US is unstoppable in our lifetime. Strong war economy, victory over culture, purely consumerist society and a profit culture that will always make it lead in economic growth and innovation.

The only hope people had was China but their demographic bomb will put an end to that. Their working population will collapse in the next few decades and thereby stagnate (due to the one child policy they had).

China's investments were a bit too ambitious and all over the place. If they tried to seriously industralise 3-4 countries and have that spur further growth in the region, that would have won hearts and minds. But China isn't very serious about providing an alternative to the West

China sees the rest of the world as a place to dump its exports. You can see from their one sided relationship with Pakistan that has crippled that country

I won't lie but I don't want to see the world order change, They are the most responsible lot out of a whole mix of potential worse options. I know lots of people criticize them and a-lot of it may be justified but that doesn't mean their is a better alternative.

The people who criticize everything/anything are like the 91 warlords/rebel group types and they create a situation worse then what they criticized. I see this also in the workplace or institutions, people have 'loud' mouths and criticize a-lot, but I know they have no better alternative which means it will lead to 91 vacuum scenario.

I've noticed with human behavior they are always critical of any system or order structure and when it disappears, it doesn't get 'better' and by default they produce something far worse. So I am very conscious with 'opposition' and I hope Somalis are also, not just in Somalia but anywhere in life.

What are the competing world order? let's review their idealogy and maturity.

1. Russia, A Democracy in name only and really an ethno-nationalist idealogy(russian supremacy, russian unity, all identity level crap) which will lead to a 'fascist' knock-on effect world-wide as every nations re-designs itself as an ethno-nationalist to defend their identity/heritage.

2. China. A Dictatorship, Ethno-Nationalist also like Russia with chinese communist characteristic. Anti God. Anti Human Rights. A Brilliant World Order. They don't tend to have colonial history nor future colonial agenda, but some question they use the economic route for it's global goal(which they don't define) meaning possible 'global vacuum' like 91 warlords did to us.

3. Caliphate. Their using multiple strategies and islamists in different theaters and 'postures' thru economic, political parties, universities, militant fronts, charities like orphanages in different sunni Islam theaters to unite it under an Islamic bloc with Turkey 'Erdogan' as a Caliph like the commonwealth. They will get pakistan to knowledge transer nuclear or at the very least provide nuclear protection. They will use Gulf Money like(qatar) to finance it.

They will use Egypt especially syed qutb as their philosopher. Many in Somalia have fallen for it and live in Qatar(atom) or Egypt(ina salad). What scenario will this produce? well in a 'war' scenario, the west 'public' can't with-stand a war due to the side-effect of 'wealth', where-as islamic world can with-stand a war. This a brutal 'edge'.

Another possible scenario is they develop their wealth profile to match the west stealthly before attack. Another possible scenario is use their location/spheres between europe-asia on-land and mari-time to keep them hostage to caliphate interest.

Their philosophy doesn't lead to world in co-existence and mutual respect, but more division on identity(infidel world, muslim world), the weakest form of identity also is 'faith'. Faith is invisible and not something between humans but between god n individuals. Only god knows your faith, not other humans, it's a ridiculous system to use to govern people on 'invisibility'.

Summary

When you see the above situation and scenarios, Why wouldn't I be pro-west? yes their not perfect but it beats global vacuum, beats fascist nations fighting over identity or religious war. The spirit of Human Right is supreme to all that lowly identity crap and people can finally co-exist, rather then chasing each other around like monkeys on who is right or wrong.

The measure of Human right is based on the 'freedom and equality' of what you disagree with not what you agree with. We are all children of adam and adam was given the gift of freedom to make his own choices whether good or bad and that ability should never be taken away by other humans or your going against the spirit of humanity which means to me, you won't last long anyways.

I know my peers in my time period will disagree with me in Somalia, but Im not here to convince you, I am here to hope one day your kids and their kids see my philosophy and judge it and declare me ahead of time/peers.

I mean... you mention these other countries as though either Russia or China will be this unipolar global hegemony dominating the entire world.... but my ideal for now would be that there is a multipolar world order where no particular power is dominating the entire world

Civilisational collapse = collective suffering. That alone should be enough for people not hope and wish for the fall of nations.

Also, try to understand the context in which they are written and the clear implication therein, that is the impediment of one’s freewill.

there is no real resemblance between what was the cause of America & what is the cause of France—that the difference is no less great than that between Liberty & Licentiousness.
