I Want The Best For Somalia

I am genuine and want the best for Somalia, but I won't sing nationalist songs in public, while having a rotten heart in private like many do. My anger, filth ends with my mouth and words as that is the Australian culture I was raised in to be direct and frank and not pussy-foot or time-waste people.

I made my purpose and agenda clear for all and my only desire is that Somalia becomes a respectable member of the world as their image has a knock on effect on my personal image. I am not promoting Somalia returns to the hour of darkness in 91-2004 where the whole world turned away and even the diaspora turned away, no I am not ever going to wish that on my worst enemy, I saw that period in 99, I don't even have the stomach to wish that for my worst enemy.

But my fury will not end untill key things are addressed.

1. In 2012 Somalia was transitioned from transitional status to an official govt status, however till today in 2023, the world treats it not even like a 3rd world nation but a UN trusteeship where they are not even allowed the same nation building loans 3rd world countries get. Till this is fixed, my fury hath no end
2. Our constitution was drafted in 2012 and 10 years later nothing has changed to complete it
3. The security tasks hasn't been completed since 2009 Govt of Sharif which is another 15 year lost on security
4. The international community lives in halane shipping containers showing no international confidence in the SFG
5. Local/diaspora confidence in Somalia becoming respectable state is very low across all civil-traditional-business-political circles
6. No cultural revolution at a social level to create a dambiile caste for corrupt/criminals in all clans so they become discriminated like the minority clans suffer which they shouldn't. We want the minority clans to teach the armed clans how to be civil, work hard, and keep crime low and serve as a model citizen framework so everyone does a ku-dayo on them. No cultural revolution means our political class and their quality will rott any system showing continously how systemic our politician failures are and it's not 1 bad politician only but 'systemic' this can only mean cultural decay.

Only positive I know is the local/diaspora have dad firfircoon(industrious) and can market develop like the nigerians, infact only those two groups dominate the continent in business savviness but they lack a strong govt to compliment them and that's why they flee and prefer doing business in Sub-Saharan 3rd world yet effective governments and those govts lack an industrious population even though their govts are nation building effectively and treated like serious governments.

***I want whatโ€™s best for Somaliweyn. I agree a lot with what you said, we need a competent government to truly bring us back up to speed with the developed world quickly, like how the 4 Asian tigers did it.

It's a shame since the transition ended in 2012 thanks due to Gaas as PM under sharif and our desire somalia to return as among the world, has not only backfired, it's not even treated like a 3rd world country who are trusted with large infrastructure loans even tho those countries locals are not industrious and wont market develop and will be taken over by foreign business communities.

We in Somalia can market develop is the sad thing and have a strong track record historically since ancient egypt to china/india in the middle age but we have a trusteeship govt not even 3rd world govt to build us the infrastructure and human capital. How sad as the govt only job is physical/social infrastructure, security, and the legal environment(nidaam) and they are spending 15 years not achieving this.

Somalia has a IQ problem, some clans more than others, but it affects all of us. It was slightly mitigated by the Colonial legacy system choosing the best and most qualified (intelligence, IQ, talent) amongst the population pool for politics, military, education, etc.

Post 91 everything collapsed, and we've never even begun to express an iota of competence Somali government officials and society had post independance, I fear it'll take decades let alone a century to get back to those days.

I agree high crime-high corruption-low iq and weak governments are only symptoms observed where? poor and ignorant societies not rich and highly intelligent societies. And as u said we can also break it down further from 'bad to worse' inside a somali context. It's a shame 'caqli celin' or even knowledge transfer is seen as offensive in Somalia, if u open a somali skull a 'gorrila nurtured' brain is present, it may look physically human but it's not 'intelligence' wise or else why do they show high crime-corruption symptoms if that brain is 1st world becuz 1st world dont suffer such thing.
