I stopped bowing in Taekwondo

So like Karate, Taekwondo encourages bowing as a form of respect and I did it for a short amount of time.

I met another Somali boy in class who's also a white belt and when I asked him why he didn't bow he told me it was haram, I had no idea, I've since recently stopped bowing in Taekwondo.

Instead I just give a nod
