So I was minding my own business as perusal, walking in the global market in midtown Minneapolis with a friend. Taking in all the different cultures the world has to offer (I'm lying, I just went there to eat, there's food from every country there, Morroco,Somali, African, Jamaican, French, Mexican etc) We went to order Indian food, while we were waiting for our order, this Filipino guy came to us, he started saying he was collecting money for the children in the Philippines, and he asked if we could donate to them, my friend and I only had our cards with us, no cash. So me being a kind hearted, charitable person, I digged deep into my purse and wallet and found 2 dollar bills and 4 quarters. I told him I don't carry cash around and this is the cash I've with me, this fucker took the money, rolled his eyes and left the scene. I was shocked and mortified.

I should have chased his stumpy ass and get my money back.

Guess what?

It wasn't for children in the Philippines :kanyehmm:

You shouldn't give anything significant to a street fund-raiser. You don't know where your money is going.

Around here, street scam artists aka so-called beggars will gawk at you if you give em a 20. Took me a while to figure out it's bc everyone else is 'smart enough' not to 'cuz chances are sky high (and sometimes so are they) their stories are bullshit.

'Think of the childen' is a common gimmick out on these streets.

Yo its tough on these streets I don't blame her
Yeah especially when your full-time job is shitposting on forums.

Miskeenta you can tell she never goes outside because she doesn't even have the confidence to say no to a random person.:ayaanswag:

"charitable" my ass, if that was the case this thread wouldn't even exist you basementdweller.

I had the same guy come up to me at least twice asking for money to donate to the Phillipines because of some natural disaster.
I gave a few dollars to him the first time, but never again. He seemed legit, but idk...

Ileen those scammers really are everywhere. They usually go to university campuses and finesse poor students. Two filipino females once approached me and asked me the same exact thing. I told them I only used debit cards and don't carry around change. They then tried to coerce me into taking money out the atm machine :mjlol:

I once gave money to this Roma gypsy guy. Few minutes later I saw him at the queue to buy junkfood. At least buy essentials like bread and milk. :gucciwhat:
