I really don't think anyone should hold their breath for somalia anytime soon...

here's my take on this whole government. a wise man once said you cannot expect a change because of a new man in the same system. and look at the kind of system in place, one that's designed to fail, we already know the un wants somalia to fail, the au wants somalia to fail, and they are both pro-ethiopia and kenya. former secretary of state c. rice herself said it isn't fair that ethiopia and kenya, two influential christian african countries shouldn't have any coastline. And in 2006 the parent of this useless government was created by the ethiopian allies, and people seriously think any good can come of it? if people actually think farmajo can get rid of amisom or alshabaab they are dreaming because the same people who hire him, hired amisom and pay alshabab

call me cynical but I don't think any change could happen unless the entire swamp is drained and the establishment is destroyed from the bottom up :manny:

There could be some small improvements but I agree. I don't think Somalia will drastically change; it's institutions will be extremely weak 25 years from now (an improvement from being nonexistent) and there will always be meddling from its neighbours.

But I also extend that to all Somali regions, not just southern Somalia.

I believe the economy will be a bit better as some diaspora investments come in but it'll still be a very poor place and a very fragmented country with little hope.

There needs to be a culture change. This is a place where corruption is acceptable and drought aid is stolen by government officials. This place can't change with this generation, maybe the next one

Where did C. Rice say that? Can you post the article or video? Feels like a Somali hearsay

"The Security Council did not support Iraqi’s front state neighbors Kuwait, Iran and Israel to under their auspices host a peace conference for Iraq; the Council didn’t endorse nor financed the Republic of Congo’s front states, Uganda and Rwanda, to under their auspice host a peace conference for civil war-torn Congo; the Council didn’t support Indonesia to host under its auspices a peace conference for East Timor; and the Council didn’t support Serbia under its auspices host a peace conference for Bosnia. In contrast, the Security Council supported Somalia front line states Ethiopia and Kenya, despite Somalia having recent border dispute wars with them, to under their auspices host a Somalia peace conference, which elected a six-year term exile Somali parliament. As widely expected, when Somalis rejected such unfair conflict-ridden conferences, the U.N. uses the Somali rejection as a pretext to send and finance an African Union Somalia peace-keeping force"
Ali E. H. Naleeye

The farce is plain for all to see - we are play pieces for our neighbours; but without their use as a proxy shell, they wouldn't even be able to control their respective occupied territories, let alone control the Somali capital. As usual, the Empire turns the cogs of this machine.

But the dam will burst sooner or later iA - it always does. We must be vigilant for the upcoming power reshuffle.

I think you're probably correct. And it's depressing. Can a nigga experience the feeling of having a functioning home country before he dies? :mjcry:

Ultimately when it all comes down to it, it's the munafaqiins within our own ppl that have literally aided our own demise for a little chump change, we need to wipe out these bastards, if it means a lot of ppl will die from cleaning out our country, so be it.

we need to hang a lot of orange bearded monkies and televise it :fredo:

these traitors need to learn what selling out our country will lead to.
Whenever i see these orange bearded coons sitting underneath the shade of a tree, I just want to blow them up, it fucking irritates my soul soo :lawd: much when they sit underneath them trees, the shade of those trees produces nothing but backward thinking and greed, destruction and terrorism

Farmaajo needs to ban old men from gathering for any meetings, and if they get caught socializing underneath them trees, they need to be hung from that exact tree.

Welcome to Djibouti the land of Issa Dir, but other clans are welcome too only if they obey the rulers. Issa Dir are like the Emirates, they have special status. We(other Somalis) are welcome to work and live.
