I mean just look at the work career positions all around you. There is a hierarchy based on intelligence. You have doctors, lawyers, judges, scientists and then you have laborers, and cleaners and maids, waiters, all of these people who do these jobs are hardworking and have a good work ethic, but obviously there is a massive difference in salary level and job requirements when comparing all these job positions.

Even, when you apply for top tier universities you need to achieve very high-grade levels to get into them. The rankings of universities are based on how high achieving their students are.

I use to think that to keep myself coping at night(the part about where you mentioned people in high end positions not having higher IQs) about wall street investors and successful business people but believe me even if they got in through good connections they still needed to prove themselves worthy of their positions.

Work rate and discipline is important but if you don't have the intelligence for it, it means nothing at all. Burger King workers have a good rate ethic and discipline for working longer hours despite getting paid peanuts for it but obviously the reason why the pay is low in such jobs is because anyone literally anyone out of high school could perform such tasks without much effort and thinking.

The reason why Doctors and Lawyers get paid highly is because only a subsection of the population can successfully get into Med and Law school, pass the exams and then successfully qualify to be professional Doctors and Lawyers. These positions, on the other hand, require a high level of intelligence related to their jobs at hand. Otherwise, anyone off the street with a basic high school diploma could become a Lawyer and Doctor if they just had good work ethic and discipline.

Nah bro, believe me becoming a doctor is like trying to become a NASA astronaut, the competition to get into Med school is so fierce that some people end up taking their lives because the amount of work and hours needed to succeed in it so high. On top of that, the grades needed to get into the average med school is beyond crazy, you need to achieve like the best 2 percent of grades in your whole borough or county to even be considered as a candidate.

Even if I had the intelligence for becoming a Lawyer, I could never see myself defending a child molester or rapist in court even if they were just accused of their crimes and no concrete evidence had been given to prove that they were guilty of committing them. That's why they say in order to become a successful Lawyer you need to become some sort of sociopath, and sociopaths usually have higher IQs.

sxb Theres a reason all doctor jobs in the US are being outsourced to Indians lol, its literally not worth it for a high IQ individual, around ten years post high school and insane amount of student debt where you probably won't get out of it until your in your 50s, while working a extremely stressful job, lawyers are maybe more high in IQ generally then the general public I agree, but they're usually supplementing that job with something else

You are talking about extremes like doctors and ceo. I am talking about nice middle of the road job. You don't have to have high IQ to have a good job and make decent money.
