Qardho is my clan homeland even though my sub-clan is nugaali, I still love Qardho, it's where my clan migrated 200 years ago after a vicous boqortoyo war. Qardho has the best weather in Puntland, green valleys, mountains.
It's home to the Osman Mahmoud a clan with a long history of sultanates. Qardho hasn't been blessed with being named the capital of Puntland. Qardho hasn't been blessed being a business city like Bosaso nor has it got lucky like Galkacyo being a trans-shipment corridor for all Somalia.
Politically Qardho hasn't been blessed with any inherent advantage but as they say the 'South shall rise' I remark 'Qardho shall Rise' with it's people being it's backbone. We need to get work boys n girls and make Qardho in the top 10 towns of Somalia.
