True, dhaqan xumo is so rampant back home but that's what Im saying perhaps if enough of us go back and settle we can teach them our new-found mannerisms and good aqlaaq that we've ironically developed in Ardul-Gaal. When youve only known to curse and that was all you ever saw from the day you opened your eyes, obviously youre not gonna see what's wrong with your ways- it will just just be norm for you. Somethings will never change though, we'll forever see premarital relationships due to the times we live in coupled with our very lax attitude towards gender segregation.

Nevertheless, Somalia > any gaal country with no shadow of a doubt. At the end of the day, at least they all believe in 1 God, His last messenger and the Quran. To die upon that, is the ultimate goal of life at the end of the day.

PS- Somalia isn't all doom and gloom. Our society is very different to the West- at times it's like comparing apples and oranges. Yes Somalis might seem more rude/cold than your average westerner but their concern and walaaltinmo are the most genuine Ive ever seen. I felt so welcome back home- everyone treated me like their daughter/sister/granddaughter etc. These gaalo will smile in your face and say sorry/please 10 times per min but it's all fake.

Lol dhaqan xumo is worse there they celebrate valentines day and even held birthday parties Thats stuff I havent seen somalis in the west celebrate

Another thing I noticed back home is the ones who go to university copy and paste from wikipedia a whole essay

I showed a family member how to properly research and formulate ideas in her own words for an assignment and she got in trouble.

Somalis back home are one of the worst human beings ever, they're rude, lazy, incompetent. I'm sorry but I don't want to spend for the rest of my life teaching grown people how to act like human beings. They've no value for human lives, people are killed in Somalia and nobody bats an eye infact the killer's tribe pays money to money hungry old geezers and he will roam the streets while your loved one is dead. They don't wash their hands, they don't shower everyday. Most of them smell. They all look inbred. They are also selfish and have no work ethic.

I thank the day Allah swt let my parents raised me in good ole America. Somalis are ungrateful, if you don't like this country then simply go back. Nobody is forcing you to stay. It's haraam to be ungrateful, these people welcomed you and gave you the free will to practice your religion.

I agree about Somalis and immigrants overall being very ungrateful to their host countries and it's so wrong. Gaalka dil gartiisa na sii (Kill the gaal but give him his right). So youre deffo right on that.

However, this isn't a question of being grateful or not. It's about the fact that living in the West is becoming increasingly incompatible with our way of life and hence it is not a sustainable option for the future. And that is why soon Im going home inshallah. Im grateful for the opportunities they've given me but this place isn't for me.

And there is nothing wrong with saying that.
