Have you been back home? I went last year and quite frankly I was shocked. Somalia's population is mostly youth and to see the way they were was quite sad wallahi. They are all preoccupied with very trivial things-snapchat, instagram, filim hindi, dayax dalnuurshe's latest song. They lack depth and substance. Even worse, you know how your parents told you everyone back home prays all 5 salah on time, without fail- well, that's no longer true as I recall going to the masjid for maghrib in Beerta Nabadda one busy evening only to find that we were the first ones in after salah had already started. Even the family I was staying with, I did see a couple taruk-salads. Speaking of Beerta Nabadda, most of the girls will come in carrying bags holding skimpy clothing to change into once they're there. A few of my aunts even went as far as saying that girls from qurbaha are better behaved than the local girls. Changing times, my friend. The globalisation of fisq is very real, and its effects are very real when a population was already ignorant to begin with.

Imo Back home the girls are claiming to go pray maghrib when theyre really going out with a guy

And at night you Will always see group of boys harrassing people vajsing trouble running in front of peoples cars and even opening the car doors

Or kids cursing openly in their home nobody raises an eyebrow

True, dhaqan xumo is so rampant back home but that's what Im saying perhaps if enough of us go back and settle we can teach them our new-found mannerisms and good aqlaaq that we've ironically developed in Ardul-Gaal. When youve only known to curse and that was all you ever saw from the day you opened your eyes, obviously youre not gonna see what's wrong with your ways- it will just just be norm for you. Somethings will never change though, we'll forever see premarital relationships due to the times we live in coupled with our very lax attitude towards gender segregation.

Nevertheless, Somalia > any gaal country with no shadow of a doubt. At the end of the day, at least they all believe in 1 God, His last messenger and the Quran. To die upon that, is the ultimate goal of life at the end of the day.

PS- Somalia isn't all doom and gloom. Our society is very different to the West- at times it's like comparing apples and oranges. Yes Somalis might seem more rude/cold than your average westerner but their concern and walaaltinmo are the most genuine Ive ever seen. I felt so welcome back home- everyone treated me like their daughter/sister/granddaughter etc. These gaalo will smile in your face and say sorry/please 10 times per min but it's all fake.
