I literally can't wait to leave Ardul-Gaal

Its early in the morning here and as I was having my breakfast, I stumbled on a piece by the BBC on Malmo, Sweden. Eveytime I see the contempt these gaalo hold us in, I smile form ear to ear as I start planning how Im gonna finesse these gaalo when I run away with my very-expensive, taxpayer-funded training to my motherland to live life on my *own* principles and raise my kids they way *I* want with no interference from some degenerate gaal. I actually cannot wait. My family and I will be living our best life inshallah.

I dont really know why Im making a whole thread about this - I just couldn't contain my excitement for this future.
PS- I really hope enough enlightened Somalis take their education and skills and make the move back home in the near future so that we can form our community bcos ngl Somalis back home are still very ignorant and messed-up in their own ways.

So here's to living a life of dignity and autonomy. Here's to reviving the great people Somalis once were. Here's to going back to our roots and heritage and living the life of our forefathers. Here's to living back in dhulkii hooyo, and dalxiis-ing in caradii gaduudneyd ee Galgaduud bcos as Somalis say, 'kulu shey' yarjicu ilaa aslihii' (everything returns to its origin).

Amen.

How are Somalis back home “very ignorant and messed-up in their own ways“?

Ameen. I agree with your thread. Somalis need to stop being delusional and thinking that they can accepted in a foreign land that isn’t their own. Eventually, cadaans will have enough and kick us out of their countries.

Have you been back home? I went last year and quite frankly I was shocked. Somalia's population is mostly youth and to see the way they were was quite sad wallahi. They are all preoccupied with very trivial things-snapchat, instagram, filim hindi, dayax dalnuurshe's latest song. They lack depth and substance. Even worse, you know how your parents told you everyone back home prays all 5 salah on time, without fail- well, that's no longer true as I recall going to the masjid for maghrib in Beerta Nabadda one busy evening only to find that we were the first ones in after salah had already started. Even the family I was staying with, I did see a couple taruk-salads. Speaking of Beerta Nabadda, most of the girls will come in carrying bags holding skimpy clothing to change into once they're there. A few of my aunts even went as far as saying that girls from qurbaha are better behaved than the local girls. Changing times, my friend. The globalisation of fisq is very real, and its effects are very real when a population was already ignorant to begin with.

Is this Xamar or Hargeisa? I went Laascaanood and most the men prayed salah in mosque, all the women dressed modestly. I haven’t been to a major city though.

That’s Mogadishu. Everyone prays in hargeisa they gonna talk shit to your face if they see you chilling in public while everyone else answering the call to prayer . Mogadishu has them Shabab niggas so you know they’re a little bit iffy about going to public places like mosques which are known to be attacked

Xamar. I guess its easier for women to get away with not praying (in terms of public scrutiny) and I was mostly around women so even in xamar the men do probably mostly still pray.
The women do dress modestly in the streets (remember there is shabab anyway) but places like the beaches, hotels, public gardens etc the robes come off ilahey amarkiis.

What was the piece about? Muslims in general or Somalis?

It was actually supposedly about 'immigrants' in general, but you know when the camera keeps zooming in to every muslim woman walking down the street, we know who they're talking about.
But no, it wasn't about Somalis in particular,

Lol who told you that?:ayaanswag:
We need to make you landers reference your info bcos you guys come up with most absurd things. No, the millions of Muslims in the Somali capital do go to the mosques, I assure you.

:kodaksmiley: There’s only about 2.5 million people in Mogadishu what are you talking about millions ? And even half that probably go to the masjid. Probably less than half

I assure you I don’t want to ridicule Mogadishu but let’s not misrepresent reality here

Have you been to Mogadishu before? No. So stop talking crap when you don’t even have anecdotal evidence.

We’re on the internet and social media is real time I know how Mogadishu is. Plus relatives by marriage that travel to Mogadishu. So please kindly f*ck off. Plus I’ve met plenty of reer xamar in hargeisa. I know how it is.

Anything more than 1 becomes plural so 2.5 would be millions. That's just English 101 walaal.
Oooh, one of my pet peeves is when people pluck numbers out of thin air. So if youre gonna make bold statements such as 1.3 million Muslims in the capital don't go to the masjid, I'd like to see evidence.
Wabillahi towfiiq.

We see Hargeisa on social media too, tread very carefully. For now, stick to the topic.

That’s the thing millions don’t go to the mosque . Probably only 800k at the most

I also hate when people pluck random numbers out of thin air. Show me all 2.5 million in Mogadishu go to the masjid . The old , the sick, the young , and women. Add all them up and show me how it comes to millions which is plural meaning 2 or more million

Even you yourself said the masjid was empty when you went :chrisfreshhah:not possible if there’s millions
