I know some of you were not like this before

Have you guys ever asked yourselves if the contents here is getting in your head and mentally affecting you? Some of the stuff you guys say here is hateful. I'd like to believe you didn't have these views before. But always keep in mind anything posted in the general and politics section if its not factual it is there to trigger you. You will not see positive stuff.

For example I know most of you have never met Somali Bantus I have met them and lived with them in close proximity they're great people. But you guys who've never met them will see something negative about them and run with it instead of questioning the motive of the poster. Or the gender wars or LGBT stuff in the community.

When you see a minority opinion posted so often for months or years even and you find a few people that agree with it. Your mind thinks its a popular thing not knowing you've been slowly conditioned to share a view you did not have before. The internet is not reality people. In real life the stuff you see here does not happen reality is boring. Always question the motive of the poster instead of becoming a horrible human being. Forgetting our purpose here in life which is to worship Allah and help Allah's creations whether a human or an animal that's what truly makes Allah happy. To see us using the mercy he has give us on one another and thinking positive of one another.

If you ever find yourself becoming less sympathetic losing your humanity ask yourself this how often do I sin? And how often do I pray salah. Sin toughens your heart makes you less and less compassionate and salah softens your heart you're more compassionate and sympathetic when your soul is getting fed spiritually.

@Jiron is your best example of a poster who does not further engage in questionable posts. Voice of reason. Keep it up.

Sometimes I wonder how some of these certain SSpot users friends will react to what they’re saying.

Many of them have Bantu, Indian, Arab, White friends.

Many of them have family friends from different qabiils.

Yet they write as if this isn’t the case.

Imagine if their employers read their posts. Would they have a job?

Your identity may be hidden but your ethnicity isn’t. SSpot users represent their ethnicity and should write like it.

Your last statements is so true. This site is public meaning you don't need to create an account to view the things here. How many non somalis visited here and left thinking most somalis think with this much hatred and racism against themselves and others even though that's not the case with your average somali? We represent our ethnicity when we write on here. Lets all be mindful of that no one knows you're trolling or you all think this way.

There are a lot of fools on the web who seriously believe sites like this are representative of most Somalis like over at Lipstick alley, unfortunately. But 99% of people irl don't even know this site exists, man. And they should have the brain cells required to realize this is the internet and people are often trolling or being verbose.

To be honest, I was startled when I realized this site was ground zero for those false rumors about Ilhan Omar. People were seriously regurgitating venom posted on here on networks like Fox. 💀

Dude the thread about the stabbing of the UK MP reached 13k views in a few hours.

When people search up Somali stuff, generally a lot of SSpot threads show up.

One of my ajnabi threads showed me an SSpot thread without knowing I use the site.

This is my point, people need to calm down on this site wallahi.

Let’s put this way, SSpot is one of the biggest online indexes about anything Somali.

This site has stuff on history, politics, culture, genetics, language, music etc.

Many people come here to learn about Somalia and it’s people. Mashallah, we are very lucky to have this site. Many cultures don’t have a site as in-depth as SSpot.

However, users must understand that they’re representing their ethnicity whenever they write on here.

Dude, ajnabis read your posts and think Somalis hate them.

They go make a tweet about us.

Someone makes an SSpot thread about the tweet.

Everyone shits on whichever country that specific Twitter user came from.

Rinse and repeat.

At the same time if you generalize an entire ethnicity off a post then catch feelings over it how is it our fault, I can do the same thing with other forums like naijaland for the Nigerians and read threads on threads making fun of us or go 4chan or go on lipstick alley

Why try to be a peoples pleaser and pander to other people who have the same traits as the people OP is mentioning within their own community.

Wouldn’t you want to hold yourself to a better standard than others?

Great reminder.

I think it’s quite chilling, the way certain groups are dehumanized. I also think it goes way beyond trolling. There is a sickness in their hearts.

If you stay here long enough, you will get desensitized to it. I’ve seen posters come here with no clue about qabiils and a few months later they are full fledged FKD warriors.

Wallahi I noticed that. I had to say something. Some posters forgot reality they think every Somali shares their view. In reality most of our people are trying to get by not worried about these dehumanizing subjects. It also got so ridiculous that you'll find men on here worried about what every somali girl does and who she dates. It is between her and Allah. They believe its Dawa but its more like you wouldn't give us a chance but you're letting this ajinabi go out with you? How dare you? Some folks need a mirror.
