I keep getting mistaken as hispanic

Every time I go to somewhere where somalis aren't known people think I'm hispanic. So many hispanic people come up to me speaking that Spanish I usually play it off but it gets annoying. Just the other day this hispanic girl was lying to me saying how has the same name as me which is a Muslim name. How do I deal with this I sick of saying Im somali, most people don't even know we exist

Why don't you learn phrases in Spanish friend, it's a great language and there's nothing wrong with getting to know interesting cultures specially if you already bear strong resemblance.
