Michael Mariano is the only Christian Somali I knew of. And he was a great patriot for Somalia when it existed. At the end of the day, most Somalis care about clans over everything.

And somalis probably took their aid and still refused conversion. The only people who converted in significant numbers are Bantus who were in many cases freed from slavery by the Italians, I can't say anything about them though they just saw Somalis mistreating them going against the teachings of Islam on one side and christian foreigners promising freedom on the other side so many joined Christianity.
Christian Somalis are mostly protestant or catholic. Habasha are orthodox and don't have good relationship with Catholics and protestant.

What I find interesting about Somalis on TikTok is that they’ll harass a person with a Somali hooyo with ajnabi father but who is a Muslim Alhamdulliah, but play nice with a gaal just because her father is the Somali.

Traditionally yes, and many historical accounts confirm this, but since the war that hasn’t been the case. We’re very religious now and the secularism and laid back attitudes to how others practice the deen is now a thing of the past.
Many gaals get harassed whether the dad or the mom is Somali. Remember the south East Asian girls?
