I am also on antidepressants since 2014. PLAN B: I can also claim benefits/welfare but its a lengthy process
I would apply for benefits and still continue to apply for jobs
I mean imagine u run out of money and still got no jobs and like u said the process can take more then a month and u already said u Mom be struggling I dont think u want her to struggle more

For anybody seriously struggling with this.

1. Apply direct to the company through their website (leaves you out of the massive applications)
2. Hustle through LinkedIn.
3. As tiresome it is, you have to create a unique CV for every job. (This further narrows you down)
3. Attend free events for networking (this may not be possible during Covid)

Personally, I went to work straight from school so no degree for me. Also, Please understand that having a degree in 2020 is not special. Everybody has one and is also competing for the same couple of jobs.

It also depends on what type of degree and field your degree allows you to get into so you better not have a useless “Malaayacni degree”

Look up the skills shortages in your country also, could you fill those roles once Covid is over?

In the meantime if you are seriously struggling for food etc, hit up the local food banks and join the Gig economy.

I always remind myself this..

The educational curriculum has been desgined for you to join the rat-race so
you solely rely on one income and become a taxable wage slave, why do the government tax you ? is it to pay infrastructure and welfare? ( well they claim it is) and sometimes it is they use it on the community, but the vast majority of tax money goes to the banks.

The government don't own the banks, banks are owned by private individuals who are trillionaires, the government are in debt with these individuals and tax us to pay them off.

So basically we are modern day slaves, similar to how firaun enslaved bani-israel.

I would advise you use the rat race as a stepping stone since there is no other alternative, save money invest abroad and try become self-sufficient in earning money.

even if you are earning £800 a month by being self employed that is a thousand times better than earning £2000 a month being told what to do, treated like a dog and being taxed.

Watch videos and read books about the current worldwide monetary system.

Remember there are many ways to make money but its up to you to decide analyse, compare&contrast, calculate etc

I hope you get the underlying message my nigga

If you have an obviously Muslim or ethnic name. Change your name on your CV. I had the same experience as you when I graduated, then I saw an article about name discrimination. People with a Muslim name have a 90% change of rejection. So I anglicised my first name ( I already have an ambiguous surname) I became inundated with call backs and interviews. It doesn’t guarantee you a job but it will at least facilitate getting you an interview and that will make a significant difference. Good luck.

👏🏽 Self sufficiency is the way forward walaahi.

Working for others is a scam.

If you’re young and need experience/or you need to replenish your saving I get it. I will never knock a person for earning a halal income. But always keep how you can transform your skills into your own business at the back of your mind. Always look at the gaps in your industry and how you could provide services to fill these holes.
