I agree, guns are on the more extreme end of the spectrum though. You guys can't even have the basics. Ffs does the UK expect ppl to rely completely on the police? You don't know what's gonna happen from one minute to the next, and activating emergency response right away isn't easy once a situation prompts it. Plus, things happen so quickly and the blues take a while to get there, and what if you don't require involving them to begin with? What a joke. Safety is supposed to be preemptive by definition. Prevention is better than cure.
I mean, the motivation for purchasing a stun gun was bc we had visited the city beforehand, and the ppl were crazy aggressive, and on one of all of the two days we were there, I got picked up bodily on the crowded street by a random guy that was possibly on something, and that was with my brother nearby trying some grub at one of those street food trailer things lol.

Idk, maybe they should be legal. At the same time, I've seen people chase each other with paring knives because I don't think you can get charged for anything unless intent is proven. They just confiscate it. There's so much room to exploit tasers and stun guns, even if they're designed as self defense weapons. I suppose that could be said for everything.. I dunno to be honest. Most people do feel pretty safe here, and I doubt most people are even bothered about the legality status of self defense weapons. I'm gonna guess you're from some small town?

No, I think my reactions would be standard for anyone who's not used to those restrictions. I don't think small town is right word. I find it increasingly hard to describe the landscape I grew up in so I won't, and as an aside I think small towns are easily safer than the average city, but there is a sense of looking out for oneself that you don't find in dependant-y big city ppl.

I was on-ramp to get to the freeway, here they come cutting me this three gangbangers. I honked at them. They gave me the bird. I reciprocated in kind. Caught up (foolishly) with them on the freeway, they rolled down their window, and, it took me few seconds to realize a barrel of gun was staring at me. I hit the breaks hard hoping no car or semi-truck was behind me. It could have hit me on the leg or something. 3 wetbacks who didn't wanna fight like a man. Needless to say, I got me a concealed weapons permit. I carry my Glock 26 when I am out and about.
