That's racistI'd be less nervous around an ajnabi if asked, except for this one time I was approached by a Chinese muslim man.
I was so disoriented that I almost asked for 2 orders of sweet and sour chicken and some dim sum.
I don't know why I find y'all intimidating maybe because I didn't grow up around many outside my family. Some of my friends say the same thing too so I know I'm not alone.
I was talking to an adult human male in my natural habitat, I bumped into him at my workplace, think he was there for some sort of meeting.
Anyway, he was asking me a whole bunch of questions and at the end said he would like to get to know me better, at this point I realized my hands were shaking so I put them in my pockets.
The problem was he didn't have his phone on him and wanted me to take down his contact. I took out my phone with my hands shaking afraid that I would drop it and have to bend down and pick it and thus be deemed a heaux by the Somali community.
Can anyone relate? the autism rates in our community are quite high.

Somali men aren't intimidating, they are the same as other men. He actually approached you in respectable manner compared to how other Somali guys would usually approach a beautiful Somali girl. Other Somali guys would approach you in a disrespectful manner like you were Nala in Lion King when she had to walk through the pack of hyenas yelling at you saying:
"shordy, what that mouf do tho!"
"shordy, we wuz kangz and shiettttttt!"
"shordy, youz cushitic, i'm cushitic too, we go together like sabayaad iyo suqaar!"
"shordy, show a real nigga some love!"
"shordy, that ass phat and those tities sitting nice!"
This Somali gentleman that approached was a nice guy and I think you should just open up more to Somalis. Not all of us are dogs.
Don't worry about being shy and modest in the presence of a strange man.
It's something to be proud of.
With time, you'll learn to relax. At worst you'll scare away the losers who will realise that you're not easy, at best, you will gain respect.
You have a good sense of humour unlike most females on this forum.
I'm sure a little confidence will do you well.
Thank-you @PuntiteQueen I'm just disappointed in my progress and time is not on my side.
Thanks, I'm working on it.
I've at least stopped looking around for John Quiñones from ABC's What would you do? to jump out of the nearest bushes anytime I'm approached.
