I find Somali men to be intimidating

I don't know why I find y'all intimidating maybe because I didn't grow up around many outside my family. Some of my friends say the same thing too so I know I'm not alone.

I was talking to an adult human male in my natural habitat, I bumped into him at my workplace, think he was there for some sort of meeting.

Anyway, he was asking me a whole bunch of questions and at the end said he would like to get to know me better, at this point I realized my hands were shaking so I put them in my pockets.

The problem was he didn't have his phone on him and wanted me to take down his contact. I took out my phone with my hands shaking afraid that I would drop it and have to bend down and pick it and thus be deemed a heaux by the Somali community.

Can anyone relate? the autism rates in our community are quite high.

Why are you more comfortable with ajnabi males but not your own kind?

It's like every time Somali males and females talk to each other it's automatically assumed it's sexual. :mjlol:

I'm a reserved person in general. Context matters, I'm not going to start convulsing when Tim from finance asks me for a yearly update.
What about if Abdi from security asks for your ID? :drakekidding:

I'll make sure to choose my card with the best picture :yousmart:

But seriously, I didn't get nervous until the end of the conversation. I have no problem interacting with Somali people in other contexts.

Yeah I get it. It's because he asked for your number. It's normal to feel nervous in that situation.

I'd be less nervous around an ajnabi if asked, except for this one time I was approached by a Chinese muslim man.

I was so disoriented that I almost asked for 2 orders of sweet and sour chicken and some dim sum.
