I feel played by my own aunty

I have an aunty who is an outcast. She married a kenyan and my family shunned her. So she calls me and says i have nothing. So i tell her i will send her $50.00 every month. She was so appreciative and happy. Then Six month down the road, she said that is not enuf. So i made it to$100.00.


Now she is muttering and whispering around. I told her-- sit down aunty, i can't afford more than $100.00 a month. Peiordt.



Now, after venting to my relatives about this issue, i found out, my aunty is getting $50.00 from her brother, my uncle and someone else. I have not confronted her with this , because i don't want her to be shocked that i know about her cunning ways.


But i am left being played?


Should i cut it back to $50.00 a month?


Or let it be and make sure dua out of it? The cheat-tation does sting! Someone else could use that $50

If it looks like she doesn’t need it, give the other $50 to someone else in your family you think might need it. The person you give $50 to in Somalia would definitely be very grateful as it goes a long way there, and could feed a whole family. That and the added bonus of duas from the whole family.

And if there’s no one in your family that needs it, you can always sponsor an orphan child in Somalia through an organisation or pay their school fees. It’s always less than 50$ a month for a child each month and imagine the ajr you’d be getting as it’s sadaqah.

I don’t know where you’d find a single mother with a child unless you go to Somalia, but there’s this one page on Instagram that looks trustable and they regularly fundraise for Dadaab and the mental patient clinics, I’m sure if you ask them or the people who fundraise they’ll know of a place.

A quick Google search already shows an organisation which has profiles of children you can sponsor. Some of the profiles say this will support the child and their mother who have no other income. I’m sure after that if you ask they’ll help you contact the mother and after that you can pay directly to the mother herself.
