I DONT GET IT; How is it Italy w/59k cases & US w/35k covid-19, Italy 6k dead but the US 500 dead

Italy....59k cases....6k dead


Spain.....28k cases.....1.7k dead


US .....35k cases ....500 dead

Germany ...24k....90 dead

Why are less Chinese and American dead as opposed to laangaab Italy and Spain ?

There was one explanation...Italy has so many old people...maybe something for Spain ...

Also cigarette smoking factors in.

But Norway and Germany are both leaders in leveraging digital technology to accommodate a healthier and more engaged older population and so, you see less deaths

The people who got it in Germany were people who went on ski holidays to Northern Italy in late February-Early March. They are often generally healthier than the general population. It still has yet to spread to the elderly in Germany. In Italy it already started affecting elderly clusters.
