Turkish Airlines flies to alot of places. Go to Egypt instead. Go see the pyramids and the Nile. Don't further the spread in Somalia. Only the diaspora and the well connected have been getting the AZ shots from what I have heard. Elderly locals have been denied the vaccine.

This isn’t surprising at all. And from what I’ve heard, some still got COVID because they’re not following proper protocol when it comes to maintaining the specific temperature level for the vaccine (has to be stored at a certain temperature).

I went to kenya last week they were in a lockdown, restaurants were closed and curfew at 8. Luckily people could still move around, so I could do nature walks etc. I wouldn't have gone if had known but I went for business not pleasure,nonetheless eating out is a big deal for me when I travel so hated I couldn't enjoy the food takeaway is not the same.

I would say dont go unless you absolutely have to.

Now, I’m thinking if I should extend my stay in Turkey for an extra day and use that one extra day (the day things open up ) to shop. What is your take on it? Or should I just leave the way things are.

US to Istanbul to Addis to Hargeisa....I was suppose to stay in Istanbul for like 4 days so I can shop for relatives and myself. Now, I’m thinking if I should extend my stay in Turkey for an extra day and use that one extra day (the day things open up ) to shop. What is your take on it? 3 days stuck in a hotel. Damn, it ain't worth it. I know it may seem tempting, but it gets boring VERY quickly. Sightseeing but without the benefits of sightseeing. You might as well go shopping in Addis Ababa. But, the Turkish Lira is down, so a good shopping spree would have been beneficial for you. Will 1 day be sufficient, well that's a call you should make. Staying has its benefits and disadvantages. I would say, keep stuff the way they are.

I got on the phone with Priceline.com...I had them fix my departure days from Istanbul and even my departure date from Addis...from Istanbul to Addis I pushed back 3 days...these3 days are after the lockdown..I get to shop but it means I’ll stay a whole week all together....This also meant I had to push back the departure from Addis to Hargeisa, which I did. I’ll only stay in Addis overnight and will catch my Hargeisa flight in the afternoon. I’ll just wake up early in the morning to check out Addis..(I even had my hotel at Addis refunded to me)....I quickly booked a hotel for the extended stay in Istanbul. I got a better deal than the one I’m staying under the lockdown ...I just need to book a hotel for that one night in Addis...I’m looking at this Best Western hotel for $51 but I’m hesitating because there’s a local one for $26...But the Best Western one is international and looks great...choices choices choices...help me make this decision.

Should I be real, pay $51. Its a holiday, and local ones ain't "the best, the top of the cream" Don't cheap out of $25 and risk it all. Best Western Addis is a 4 star, its great.
