Ngl if i could go back i would try and unite the clans mongol style and try and adopt the ge’ez script from Ethiopians and mix it with local languages. Try and unite horn africa and become a regional powerhouse with major influence in deep africa, indian ocean and red sea. I would set out fleets to try and convert people and do trades.

I’d do a greater Horn Africa spreading from all the Cushitic lands of Africa and of former lands of Punt and Axum. Then I’d start conquering islands like Maldives and Socotra..

Exactly this is pre colonial times so there would be so much land to expand into.
It would of been so easy for Somalia to expand into the interior of Africa the only reason we didn't was because our neighbours Ethiopia and Sudan which were in the way were too powerful

Actually, not exactly.. the Teste fly which kills livestock wouldn’t allow us to go too deep into the interior. That’s why I was thinking of expanding securing Sudan’s gold and rare mineral sources and Ethiopia’s good land for farming and grazing which could be used as a breadbasket for the whole region. We could have expanded onto all the islands on the Red Sea and Indian Ocean, and could participated in Imperialism either in Madagascar and/or South Africa.
