I am curious: why do so many of you pretend to be 'madow'?

Postscript:
A good portion of African Americans, esp. educated, from good families, and with desire to better themselves, are getting away from the culture you seem to be adopting. One of my proteges, a young man of African American extraction, visited MN, and observed some young Somali lads acting as if from the hood, and he asked: we, African Americans, are trying to disassociate, if distance ourselves from this gang wannabe culture; why would Somalis be attracted to it? I could not explain, for I have not the faintest idea.

So, since many of youS here come across the perfect sample population, see if you could speak to it, and answer his question. Some of you were good enough to have intelligently articulate it. Let us see if others could further speak to it intelligently - see if we could put that heavy muscle resting up in the head to its potential use.

Take-away points of value:
  • Poor socio-economic status,
  • Similar to other communities in poorer neighbourhoods,
  • Insecurity, and lack of father figures, and role models,
  • Crimes of fathers visited upon the children.
Any more points of value?
Urban hip hop culture, which majority of ethnic minorities in poorer neighbourhoods participates in, celebrates criminality, sex and drugs etc. Go back 100 years ago, and African American were religious Christians without any single mothers, who wore suits and listened to jazz music.

In other words, it is a fad, and in time, it'll disappear, and as youngster grow up, it'll be a thing of the past. Very good, and I think someone else made similar point. I'll jot that down, and add it to the list.

This was actually rather informative, with the following conclusion being had: We shall split Somalis into three categories:
a) Dabarre, which more identifies with black culture, and
b) Carsaanyo, which more aligns with Arab, or Asian cultures,
c) Milan, which floats between the said two.

And as this is common amongst peoples of mixed heritage, this is expected, therefore those who favour the black heritage, as in Dabarre, could embrace black culture to their heart's content. Those, who prefer the other half, as in Carsaanyo, could choose to identify with other cultures viz Arab, or Asian culture. As for the third category, as in Milan, it could float either way.

I shall let social study boffins better debate, research, and articulate it.

Neither group, Dabarre or Carsaanyo, should thrust its wishes upon the other, nor does one 'cabaad', 'weyrax', or 'kor u kaleeti' to have its desires upon the other.

In other words, be, and let be.

Thank you for your input.
End.

I am not black! I am NOT BLACK! I know they faked those ethnic groups. "Cushitic" As if I could ever believe such a thing. Never. Never! I just - I just couldn't prove it. They covered their tracks, they got these idiot anthropologists to lie for them. You think this is something? You think this is bad? This? This chicanery? They’ve done worse. Afro-Asiatic! Are you telling me that languages just happens to fall like that? No! *They* orchestrated it! Cadaans! They leave their asscracks *dry*! And we saved them! And we shouldn't have. We took them into our own countries! What were we *thinking*? They'll never change. They'll *never* change! Ever since they existed, *always* the same! Couldn't keep their hands out of empirical data! But not our civilized people! Couldn't be our civilized people! Stealing them blind! And *They* get to be the experts? What a sick joke! We should've stopped them when we had the chance! And you, you *have* to stop them! You--

In those lines, you raised another point of value:
Secular vs Theologian. The more secular, and by extension liberally inclined one is, the more of h(er)is embracing of the black culture, whereas the more theologian, and conservative leaning one is, the more inclined towards the Muslim, Arab, Asian culture. Thank you for pointing that out.

I am not black! I am NOT BLACK! I know they faked those ethnic groups.
Then, you would be a proud 'Carsaanyo' lad. No harm, no foul.

Monolithic, in heritage and/or faith, as we wish to think of ourselves, we are not. A big enough tent for us all, there is.

It’s kind of funny when I moved to the U.K. especially at school and workplace I could tell the difference between Indians from India and Indians from the Caribbean but I couldn’t tell the difference between Africans from Africa and Africans from the Caribbean.

Africans love to imitate and assimilate into American culture πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
