I’ve used the n word several times. The issue is that it comes out with realizing influence from surroundings I guess. But I’ve never pretended to be madow. I flex on being Somali wallahi :kanyeshrug::fittytousand:

I don't exactly understand your question, do mean why do we claim to be "black" ? Because if so, the term black is associated with anyone with or from sub-sharan African heritage which somalis fall in to. If you do mean why some of us act african-american or use AAVE it's mainly due to them growing up around the "hood" or being befriend with black-Americans.

Might be the only group that accept them? On a real note tho if they aspired to be like Oprah n Muhammed Ali id respect it but their rolemodels is nicki minaj n 50 Cent that’s the real issue, hence im completly against Somalis grouping themself with Madow culture. Atleast the Ana Carabs might suffer from self hate but they dont destroy the community from within with their degeneracy.

Truth be told, it is more common amongst the lads, and less so among the ladies.

But then I have seen Somali kids born in suburbs behaving as if from the gheto. That does not explain the neighbourhood aspect of it, does it? But I do see what you mean.

Really tried to include scandanavia there thought you was slick? The only places with madow culture with it’s impact is UK Canada n US. In other diasporas like Finland , Sweden , Norway n Denmark Somalis/Eritrean culture is synonyms with Madow not Yardie/Nigerian or AA. Some kids becomin thugs dont mean they act madow lowkey racist to say? but then Marrocans,Albanians n Turks must act madow aswell.
