Social media should not exist. At this point it is an soul sucking algorithmic preference adjusting data harvesting succubus, that sucks the time out of you, and when the spell dries off, you get brain headache and then the lamenting starts.

Life hasnt been great ever since the creation of smart phones. In 2016 we got our first Ipads in school and then I just started binge watching anime, did that constantly for 8 years.

I just wonder how memorable my life would be, if smart phones and smart tv's didnt exist. What would school be like if we didnt use laptops. I remember back in 3rd grade, having to learn how to write cursive.

Note: not saying those 8 years been just that, I have done lots of fun and been to many places and seen many things and had made many friends, but most of those interactions, the internet had played a role.

My first phone was a flip phone but I wanted the newest samsung smart phone one those very very early ones with 2g/3g. I remember I could barely use the internet function.

I was very fortunate to start school before they started using furnitures with modern design. They had the furnitures since the 80s.

And one of my favorite places was the library. It was a maze full of interesting dusty books.

I had similar thoughts when I was 16 and it honestly nerfed my life at the time. Thought I was being some enlightened monk when in reality I was acting like a loser. Being an adult is having the mental capacity to manage consumption of social media and other forms of entertainment to a moderate amount

Technology golden era was 90s-earliest 2010s

Much of tech losts its soul now everything is in one device which has app’s for the everything.

Gen Alpha minds cannot comprehend the concept of a walkman or a casset.

The internet died after phones became a viable option to browsing the internet and social media platforms start popping uo catering mainly for smartphones.
