Only in the last 5 years, have I grown to appreciate and love theatre. It's thanks to my wife, that I've developed this love for musicals. She has always been a lifelong fan of it, and she's now passed it onto me.

Before, I never was interested in it, I would even laugh at the idea, of me seeing a show. Thankfully, I don't think like that. I've seen, soo many shows, from big name plays, up at the West End, to minor plays at local theatres around Kent. Just to name a few, I've seen:

Phantom of the opera
War Horse
We Will Rock You
Wicked
Miss Saigon
Blood Brothers
And many, many more.

This weekend, we're planing on seeing Motown, a musical about the Berry Gordy and his founding of the label.

I've realised, not a lot of Somalis are into theatre, why is that? In all of the times, I've gone to see shows, not once had I spotted a Somali. So are any of you into musicals? If so what's your favourite ones? And why.

I studied drama at school and I've been in a few plays myself, not on a big stage just at university and places like that.

I plan to see Thriller soon.

I've always wanted to watch a musical at the theatre, but the only one I've seen (not counting Disney films) is High School Musical :mjlol:

I am cadaanfying myself lately. I've been visiting museums and I am going to my first musical ever with the director, which is Lion King the musical. December is a month wherein cadaans are very happy. This week we will play charade with the whole division, and next week we will play escape room ( i have no fucking idea what escape room is).

Lol sometimes I feel like you're being sarcastic, first it was reading now you think going to museums and escape rooms is cadaan activity, I ask again where do you live Abdalla? Wherever you live that Somalis are that boring, get out. I go hiking, indoor rock climbing, painting, skiing etc and guess what? I actually see Somalis there, of course cadaans are the majority of the people but it's expected since they make up 60% of the population.

Ps. Escape rooms are awesome, if you have the kidnapping one, do that it's pretty intense. We broke out with one second to spare lol

In january we are also going ice skating, which is a typical Dutch activity. When they asked me if I could ice-skate, I said yes. My problem is I can't say that I don't know something. It brought me so many problems.

Well not those, we have those too but we also have the Somalis that are interested in the activities that I mentioned. I live in MN and actually schools take kids to skiing trips, so most young Somalis know how to ski or snowboard.

Those are Fobs walaal. The kind who are adventurous are raised or born in the West.

I agree, but I think FOBs are way more adventurous than us.

School activities are different. You can't deny museums and playing escape room ( I dont even know what that is, and I am super ilbax) is an cadaan thing. Just yesterday I saw this Xalimo at the station and during our convo she said she meditates, I looked at her like :gucciwhat:

Music is a Zionist plot to distract you, control you and prevent you from doing something meaningful in your life. I'm not anti-Semitic but please give consideration to my argument. Ask yourself why you do what you do and you will be surprised. You will begin to connect the dots and realize what is being done to you. And what exactly are they distracting you from? From what they are doing around the world. What were American and British youth doing when they toppled the governments of Iraq, Libya, and many other countries? You were busy with nonsense like theatre and music. You gave them a free pass. You need to be vigilant and call them out whenever you can, wherever you can. Thank you for your time sxb. And I'm sorry if this irritates you.
