Why would you actively search for a friend from the opposite gender and we cant be friends ever Allah made us and knows us better than we think we know ourselves and if Allah says we can't be friends then that's it.
I have never seen 2 people where both sides are friends with each other and not thinking of more and I mean actual friends.
