I want a logical somalinimo where each clan presents what they did for other somalis besides themselves, not this empty worded singing nationalist songs. The reason behind it is, they don't see the nation at peace socially or politically, their no real guiding philosophy or politics or institution, they see corruption and social decay at it's lowest level even cleaners are corrupt, so they revert to the above plan.

I am planning a new strategy adopting farmajo/abdilahi/siyad no 'hanti' policy, but leave behind legacy work for the people, becuz that is longer term better strategy becuz generations after me can keep 'milking' it, unlike the 'hanti' route, which will de-value over time as the world switches good/products which is inevitable.

I want to follow in my awoowe spirit also, we still milking his name in garowe and within my clan and outside of it. Where-as the ones in his time who focused on the hanti route, are nowhere to to be seen nor their generation, so u can imagine the same for those who adopt hanti strategy today, their repeating the same outcome after 2-3 generations.

Beyle also returned to Awdal to oversee the completion of the project. Since he is a wealthy man, he could've lived anywhere he wanted in the world, but he chose to return home to make sure his legacy is cemented by seeing through the completion of the project.

This is what I think. He only banked on that hotel he built to be seen as his way of return. If he really wanted to make great money then he would've built a hotel in Kenya like every other Somali politician or someplace else.

Sorry to hear that. I can’t speak to your situation, but I’ve heard this a lot and it seems like it’s a reer badiye thing or some strange entitlement these relatives even your own clan at times tend to have when you go above and beyond for them on a human level. I think such ppl do not have an understanding or appreciation for the resources and finances required to provide this type of assistance. I almost feel as though remittances are the blame for this.
