They colonialist loved farming and urban areas with settled people as their easier to rule and control they enticed them with arms, money, etc. In return they went to the rural areas and 'depleted' the gold, diamonds, etc and shipped it to Europe to create 'reserves' for european nation states.

It's quite simple when you study their aims. Till this day they take South Africa gold mines and top up their own reserves in european/american countries. Yet they refuse any african country to have his own reserves because they need to ensure they're poor and dependent.

White people won't allow any nation with gold or diamonds to survive as they fear they may be used to create a 'separate' economical international order outside of the international one today.
