Heartbreaking, AUN to the sister.

Sometimes one can see the red flags before marriage and other times no. Especially because most Somali marriages do not involve the couple dating for long before marriage. It’s very easy to hide your flaws if you only talk for 3 months then get married. Or if the marriage is arranged.

Honestly all you can do is pray istikhara often before marriage and pray Allah sends you a sign to not marry the person if they’re not good for you. People can switch up in a heartbeat

I put Books to the Test of Life
He was NOT on drugs there were no drugs found in the room or in his system (they tested him)
I believe your response came in after a considerable delay, my friend. Just to clarify, the discussion wasn't about recreational drugs; the individual in question was a mental health patient with prescribed antidepressants and other medications. He had accused his wife of drugging him, leading to a heated argument. This claim served as an excuse when reporting to the police, further escalating the argument and ultimately resulting in him taking her life. It seems he was struggling with mental illness and likely reluctant to take his prescribed medications, suspecting his wife of drugging him.

His family and, in general, Somalis often struggle to handle individuals like him seriously. They tend to either treat them harshly, akin to animals, back home—confining them or hoping that adherence to cultural practices and finding a wife will remedy the situation. In this case, it appears that he should have been placed in a mental asylum rather than being married off, especially considering his past violent behaviour towards his ex-wife in Somalia

Has there been more information that has come out?

And why haven't we seen any photos of him?

She got married on October
