this is the crude truth lol. it really irritates me when i try to converse with the reer koonfureed and they say "aboowe soomaali waa mid nooh". @Inquisitive_ goes on and on about how majerteens are hypocrites but wallahi thats bullshit. who wouldnt look out for their people? everyones a qabilist (well to a extent). just look at somalispot's 'angel' @embarassing she defends the indefensible korrupt-kheyre.

Generally speaking, those that hide behind the 'Somalinimo' or 'Wadanka', slogans are by far the most qabiliste.

Everyone is NOT a qabiilist like you and others, who suffer from "Muh Qabiil" Syndrome and scream "Somaliland is a country, Puntland is a country". The truth is, no matter what clan you come from, you will always be Somalis. No ifs or buts and certainly no "Muh Qabiil". You'll only realise that once you become immune from "Muh Qabiil" Syndrome.

We were subjects of the great Otfomon empire during Abbysinyian expansion the turks with Ahmed Gurey defeated the Habeshi forces.

Guul Erdogan!

Technically only Zeila was part of the Ottoman Empire just after the time of Ahmed Gurey. We were not subjects, more like brothers in arms and allies.

Can't really blame them because the past quarter of a century, the Somali people were in a particularly dejected mood. Their daily actions were showing different types of emotional behaviors and disturbing feelings that ranged from anger, suspicion, hatred, inferiority or superiority complex, war trauma, lack of confidence, blind clanism, adversity to statehood and an open war against the unity of Somalia.

The long devastating civil war changed the proud, nationalist character of the Somali individual, causing him/her aching feelings of fear, grievance, hatred, uncertainty and bleak future. Such initial negative thoughts generated gradually, the sad result of the Somali people’s separation into clan lines and/or isolated regional entities. The consequent result of increasingly growing apart distanced the Somali citizens not only physically, but more dangerously emotionally.

They protected us from maurading Portuguese colonists we would've ended up like Angola
they didn't protect shit. Ethiopians vs Somalis, the Ethiopians got Portuguese (Christain ally) And the Somalis got Muslim ally (Ottomans).

But they did. They along with the Omanis, helped us fend off the Portuguese armada who wanted to monopolise trade in the Indian Ocean.

Yeah helped us but not protect us. Plus we were the ones karbashing our enemy. The Ajuraan empire defeated the Portuguese many times when they tried to invade coastal towns. The Ottomans, provided help when the Somalis got jumped like 1500's when the Ethiopians were getting some heavy ass whopping by the Adal empire that the Ethiopians called in Christian Portuguese help and Adal got some ass whopping since they didn't have good weapons to use against the Portuguese and that is why Adal empire went to the ottomans for help and got supplies from them and the Adal empire defeatedPortugueseugess with the help of the Ottomans.

I wonder, what the outcome would be if the money spent on that godforsaken city was spent on other Somali city?

No amount of different armies can root out terrorism in south Somalia unless the locals there decide not to work with those terror groups. It is similar to Afghanistan where no matter what the Taliban can't be rooted out because of local support.
