1. Awdal people seem pretty comfortable with status quo. There’s no revolution there and they benefit from not being swallowed by Xamar politics.

2. Isaaq is the majority of Sanaag.

3. Sool was completely calm for 15 years under SL.

I can imagine a post-Biihi SL with multi-party registrations that aren’t dominated by one clan develop then the issues we see now would be gone.

Regardless I’m not the one making the argument for SL independence. I just can see that the only way to bring SL back into Somalia is outright war as Isaaq are the majority of SL and do not want to return. Let me know if you have a solution
