HSM teaching back in the 90’s

HSM may have his faults at times but one thing I always admired about him is his love for education. He stayed in the country during its tough times and opened a school in maanapoliyo (anyone who’s familiar with Xamar knows where this is) in the 90’s which incurred damages multiple times before opening SIMAD university and becoming the dean. He also got his PHD whilst in his first few months back in office.
