I don't know how you guys are even Muslims and you don't speak in Arabic, both of them go hand to hand, a Muslim must know the literal translation of the holly Quran both in his native language and Arabic.

I mean,that is what they thought us in school in Bossaso and PL,by the time you finished the Quran translation as awhole you should know Arabic by then, I swear that is all, almost 45% words,phrases, grammer should be sufficient for someone to the earn the language.

So I guess you boys didn't learn the Quran translation and that is why you are lacking in your Arabic language, just finish the translation of the Quran and I guarantee you would know about 50-75% of the standardized Arabic language.

Anyway for example Dr Zakir naik doesn't speak Arabic and the guy can quote Quran verses like an encyclopedia.
It's not obligatory to be fluent in Arabic to be a good Muslim, I'd say it's only recommended.

Learning other languages is ok. We should just remove Arabic as an official language but no problem with learning it

Arabic belongs to all Muslims not just Arabs. Somalis should be fluent in Fusha Arabic.
