I believe the way he would’ve convinced them is if Madaale will build Banadir administration and then an election for a leader will happen and that HSM will then back Galmaax to lead UPD Banadir. Right now maybe HSM wanted someone he can trust completely to build Banadir ‘state’ the way UPD envisions.

I have come to respect Shariif. I can see he’s played a good role and is a nabadoon. I hope we see the fruits of this agreement in the long term and Galmaax receive their rights. The bus should fit everyone.
