It will be a very expensive endeavour and that's just the port itself, not even the road infrastructure. Should've chosen a place further down South with a better location etc.

Yes it's very humiliating and painful for them that we build a port but it had nothing to do with them, we were just trying to better ourselves. I paid $50 dollars towards that project which makes me very proud.

Your first paragraph has absolutely no bearing whatsoever, What do you mean by natural port? Garacad and Hobyo are very close to each other. Their seabed and viability are basically thesame. Garacad did not have a 'natural' port either. Thats why they built their port so far out so the boat would not ground its self in the natural seabed

You can create the port closer with dredging but that is very expensive and im 95% sure garacad did not do this and just built outward until the seabed started to taper off.

So it is your reaction that is completely based on emotion and qabil without a doubt.

Edit: Just to clarify, this isnt a bad thing. A port natural, dredged, concrete or stone. It is all good, Im just disappointed that you keep downplaying the project. Development is development at the end of the day and somalia needs all it can get.

The absolute King of ports is djibouti, no doubt about it. They have many quality ports. Then Berbera, Muqdisho, kismayo, garacad.

HAGs aren't reasonable enough to negotiate with. Garacaad was as much about PL as it is connecting (economically) with DDS through GGG line, who went ahead and purposely subverted the incoming funds for it?

SL are the best neighbours, why? They stay in their land and focus on themselves and whenever they step out of line, they get their annual karbash (to remind them again of 25th August), its a cycle but in between they are civil.
