For sure, they didn’t see us as equal, but we were a clear threat if agitated compared to other Africans based on the stuff they’ve written about us.

Somalis didn’t have inferiority complex, so if an Italian got up to kibir and spat on a Somali or some shit, they’d be bludgeoned or stabbed. Many Italians died this way. So the ones that couldn’t stomach living with us left, and the others chose to stay.
