Who wrote that speech, why it sounded as if it was a casual bilateral meeting for economic and business meeting. It supposed to be about the tragedy in Gaza.

No, it wasn't supposed to be about the tragedy, part of it was dedicated to it. This was the first Saudi-Africa summit. They saw Turkey grow their trade with Africa from 5 billion in 2003 to 34 billion in 2021, they want a piece of the cake.

Saudi Arabia, as part of its Vision 2030 plan to overhaul its economy, will invest about $25 billion in Africa by the end of the decade, SPA said.

Saudi exports to the continent worth $10 billion will be financed and insured through 2030, and the Saudi Fund for Development will finance development projects worth about $5 billion in the same time frame, SPA added.

no one in that summit talked about economy. It was Islamic world-Arab World Summit, then moved to Africa-Saudi Summit. Even the african leaders were talking about Gaza, no economy.

We're you expecting something awe inspiring? This summit is a glorified circle jerk of nations. Nothing of value is discussed and no significant actions are taken to better the Islamic world. HMS might have embarrassed himself but can't be more embarrassing than the stances these Arab nations have. Any footage of the actual speech? This is why I hate HSM. Mudane Hamsa would have been the perfect person to represent us there. He speaks Arabic fluently and I wouldn't have put beyond him to repeat his now famous take on the Israel -Palestine conflict , but the bugger HSM had to go there with broken arm in hope of the King would throw a bone at him.
