Italians are known for their beautiful architecture and infrastructure. HSM should get them to help with rejuvenate Xamar's infrastructure. Siyaad Barre sent many students to Rome and hired Italians to help designed some Warshadahas, Government buildings and some roads; like the one that went from Afgooye to Xamar. This is a good opportunity here as I don't think Italy has any modern day interests/ambitions in the Horn or power to do anything so you don't have to worry about melding in FGS affairs. Reer Koonfur needs to build all that need liberated land, it's good for all of us. I'm confident the city can be returned to the beauty that it was. Best city in all of Africa Inshallah.

We do have a planning ministry whose job it is to zone. No idea if it’s feasible right now given a lot of land is built on that shouldn’t be due to illegal settlements.

There's a whole lot to be done, I think it can be done fairly quick though with today's technology and joint consensus by all parties that live in Xamar to follow laws. The illegal settlements and a proper census should be address first though. I think the Urban Planning and infrastructure projects can be drafted at the same time and improved upon as well. All of Somalia needs to utilize new technologies the same way China does, they are able to build infrasctructure extremely quickly thanks to tools like theses.

Also I heard there was a problem with Hotels springing up everywhere in Xamar, there should be laws to limit how many (X) buildings should be in one area. In the near future, the amount of foreign investment, economic prosperity and stability of the entire country will depend on the capital. Everyone from Ras Kamboni to Zeila would benefit it this works out for the better, Inshallah. Our country looking beautiful, clean and modern should never be a Qabil/Tol issue and should be a concordant goal of all parties.

In the meantime, I apologize for derailing your thread sxb, as a Somali who grew hearing stories of the beauty of Xamarcade and never getting to experience it, the subject is very intriguing to me. One day Inshallah
