Drought and irregular weather is the main reason why sub-saharan africans didn't settle permanently in one place, and therefore couldn't create a great civilization like in the north.

Congo is has as more rain than the uk and thick jungles. Africans destroyed their own civilisation before the greeks came....lets face it.

I mean somalia in particular. LOL In ancient times, the bantus that encompass the whole of sub-saharan africa today, actually lived only in west africa.
