How would a Somali respond to a mandatory military draft?

If a military draft becomes a mandatory in our lifetime, how would the average farax respond? Is he willing to conscript or dodge and opt for a jail sentence?

History is repeating itself with the revent event that are happening around us and we all know the only way to restart the economy would be for a major global conflict to occur. Wartime production with 99% employment, half the population dying, then the victors would be in a golden age.

Mandatory military service wouldn’t work in Somalia because Somalis are loyal to their clans first. It’s recipe for disaster, an army no bigger than 40K (for budget of its country size) is ideal and the country needs stronger police force/gendarmeries because Somalis need strong policing to disperse clan animosities and Navy to protect the long coastline.

I dont understand why mandatory military drafts are a thing tbh a military should strive to recruit fierce and bloodthirsty fighters ready to serve their nation, if a bunch of soldiers are forced to join chances are they'll surrender to the enemy and xaar on themselves in the battle field

Somalis are brave and patriotic and therefore would make good soldiers if conscripted and trained well. The most important thing for Somalia is the need for decent leadership, military development and infrastructure.

Just an observation.

Unlike other ethnicities, Somalis in nature deeply dislike being ruled and dictated to. They also stick to their own and don’t usually befriend with outsiders unlike others who are more “open” so it’s going to be a problem in the military when you’ll be forced into the diverse camp.

You can see how easy it was for the English, Europeans, Asians and Horners to quickly flock in the draft effortlessly in the past. Can you say the same for Somalis?

i would assume they would not accept the mandatory draft then.

I would take the jail sentence,dont get me wrong I love my country, but im not prepared to die for a gaal nation
