Fluent but not elite. If my English level is 100, then my Somali is 85.

My somali is not soo good I don't understand gabays so 70% if my swedish is 100%

I can't speak it and can't understand most of it.

Im probably on par with a 2 year old.

I can speak it pretty well, but there are definitely areas of improvement.I'd say 65% compared to a native somali that has an expansive vocabulary like my father.But since im planning on living back home in the future im actively trying to get better, learning new words and applying it in my day to day life.

My father is a master of Somali but he knows English too I called someone a nigga and the school called him and he was dying

I am lucky my dad knows somali and amharic so can say what I want in english and swedish.

We shouldn't struggle to speak Somali. If our kids don't learn it the language will die

It comes down to the household. My habarwadaags who live in East London and Cardiff are little Muuse Galaals. Makes me feel embarrassed. Which is why I force the Reer Waqooyi accent.
