How was it for somalis growing up late 90s early 2000s

Started watching "my wife and kids" when we were a little older. Running to see who was the fastest was so sick, but the unathletic little dimo jeelec kids stopped wanting to play after I'd dust them over and over again. Scooters were a death trap wallahi, espcially when you'd spin them around and slam them against your ankle lol

Growing up in the early/mid 2000s was the last time boys could play outside and be left alone before parents started getting all paranoid and keeping their children locked away. Late millennials caught the tail-end of the "boys will be boys" era and causing madax xanuun for their parents alhamdulillah:rejoice:
Oh man. You just brought back memories. I used to have a scooter and it really hurt when it hit your ankle. Diff type of pain. The amount of times I fell whilst riding my scooter, didn’t deter me tho

The holidays to back home were amazing wallahi. My cousins back home were little animals, we'd climb onto those toyota pick-up trucks/buses until the driver stopped or sped up lol. My legs are covered in scars. Our parents tried to make us go to summer school so we went out one night and started throwing rocks at the little "school". Broke all the windows, lights and then hid behind these massive rocks when the macalinkas came running out with sticks.

great times, parties, Somali events, and good music. I went to an independence day party last year in London, the Somali kids were so weird, they didn't know what to do :jcoleno:
