The average height of a well-eating and healthy Somali male born in the west to parents who were not starved during pregnancy is probably around 180 cm on average. I'm taller than that, but I am not exceptionally taller than the average Somali, and many are around the same height or taller, with some having an average height as well. Somalis are rarely short, though. You find Dinka lanky type much more than a short guy.

We also have to remember that height distribution can differ from one population to the next. Population height does not completely need to follow a bell curve.

Somalis have not reached their genetic potential. The Dutch have. The most optimistic projection is Dutch-like height.

A statistic was done in Hargeisa, Somaliland. The average male was 175 cm, if I recall correctly.
